Frequently Asked Questions
These are some of the frequently asked questions about IDOVEN. If you don't find your question here, please contact us: email@example.com
- How is IDOVEN holter monitoring different from other cardiac monitoring services?
Some heart monitoring services are based on heart rate monitors, which means that they help you to know your heart rate during different activities, but they do not allow you to do medical studies or get diagnoses. IDOVEN offers high-precision cardiology reports by combining a wearable sports-medical technology called sports holter and long-term holter with artificial intelligence algorithms in the cloud. This combination allows our medical equipment can analyze the behavior of your electrocardiogram for days or weeks to track possible alterations.
- Who can use our cardiac analysis services?
EVERYONE can test their heart with us: people of any age and anywhere in the European Union. We can help both those people who practice sport on a regular basis, and those who do not do or have never done any physical activity and want to start doing it, even if they suffer from any pathology and want to use sport to treat or improve their state of health. In IDOVEN you will have the necessary medical advice that will allow you to reach a greater functional capacity.
- How can I apply the data obtained to improve my health?
With IDOVEN, you can easily delve into how your heart adapts to different training loads, work stress or how it recovers during rest to know if it is adapting appropriately to your pace of life, finding possible alterations, detect diseases in the early stages and be able to act in time so that they don't evolve or even to cure them before they cause symptoms.
- How can I apply the information obtained about my heart to improve my athletic performance?
At IDOVEN we not only study if your heart is healthy, but we can also help you to improve your sports performance. The device that monitors your heart also records your physical activity using an accelerometer. We are able to see how your heart adapts to different types and loads of training while you are preparing for a competition or trying to improve your performance in a race.
- What is the difference between IDOVEN holter monitoring and a stress test?
The traditional stress test (with or without ergospirometry) is used to study the heart for a limited time, usually between 8 and 20 minutes depending on the protocol performed. The stress tests that are performed in most hospitals or medical centers use two types of apparatus that seek to reproduce the sporting gesture and physical effort: treadmill with protocols in which the patient is asked to walk on a treadmill uphill or run and cycloergometer in which the patient performs the effort on a stationary bike in which the load is increasing in watts. This type of stress tests are known as "laboratory studies" and allow to know the cardiac response to different loads of effort programmed in a fixed way in the different protocols for a limited time (minutes). In this article we tell it in more detail: Difference between a stress test and IDOVEN services.
- IDOVEN provides real-life cardiology reports.
We look at how your heart's electrocardiogram reacts during millions of heartbeats doing any activity. We use a new sports-medical wearable technology called sports holter and long duration holter: a device that monitors your heart continuously doing all the activities you do in your daily life for days and even weeks. Go to your vacation spot, climb to the top of your favorite mountain. IDOVEN accompanies you, you set the limit. Don't worry about anything, keep training wherever and however you want. We take care of the rest. We analyse your heart in your daily training in the city, a park, your sports centre or in the gym. Also learn how your heart adapts to your long weekend runs for hours in the countryside, on the beach or in the mountains with a high elevation gain. If your workouts are based on HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) or you also do series (extensive intervallic or intensive intervallic), through strength training or technical training we can tell you how your heart adapts and assimilates the different loads. And of course we also monitor your cardiac reactions while working, enjoying dinner with friends or during your night's rest (an essential part of good training).
- How is my heart's recorded data analyzed?
The patterns of thousands of heartbeats emitted by your heart during different activities are analyzed thanks to our artificial intelligence algorithms. This allows our medical equipment detect with great precision the behaviors of your electrocardiogram for days or weeks to track possible alterations. Use your EKG findings to improve the way you live.
- Are monitoring kits waterproof?
Yes, you can shower with them or even practice swimming or water sports.
- How large is the database of heartbeats donated to IDOVEN?
We treat our database with great respect. Each piece of raw data is a life, whose story deserves to be treated with dignity. The database of heartbeats donated to IDOVEN is continuously growing. It has more than 89,000 hours of continuous recording of the hearts of both healthy and sporty people and heart patients from different European hospitals. This is equivalent to more than 343 million heartbeats. The more quality information we can teach our algorithms, the better we will be able to understand human hearts and the more accurate medicine we will be able to make every day. Thanks to those of you who are helping us to make this possible.
