We believe that the application of AI in healthcare is one of the most transformational shifts of our time. Our mission is to make that happen, faster, in the fight against the leading killer globally: cardiovascular disease.

The start of things

At Idoven, we believe technology should do more than analyze heartbeats—it should help save lives.

Our journey began when a cardiologist and a machine learning scientist came together to tackle a critical question: Can we detect heart disease before it strikes?

‍As we explored existing technology, we saw major challenges—data locked in proprietary ECG formats, outdated software unable to adapt, and AI models that failed to make a real impact in clinical settings.

Healthcare needed a new approach, one that combined medical expertise, engineering, and artificial intelligence to power the next generation of cardiovascular diagnostics. That’s why we founded Idoven.

Idoven is founded after almost a decade of basic and translation research in the cardiology and arrhythmia field.

2019

First agreements with Google and Banco Santander for remote patient monitoring.

Selected for Lilly and UnLtd Accelerator.

2020

Iker Casillas joins Idoven as brand ambassador and investor

Awarded EU Seal of Excellence

Awarded #1 Spanish HealthTech company and grant funding by NEOTEC, led by the Spain Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology

Selected for EIT Health Headstart and Bridgehead programme

2021

€2 million raised in seed round from Wayra, Accel Starter programme and leading business angels.

Member of the pan-European MAESTRIA consortium to apply machine learning to the early detection of stroke and atrial fibrillation.

Oct 2021

Awarded Most Disruptive Startup and Best Health Startup Award at South Summit, the leading technology conference in Southern Europe.

Selected for EIC Accelerator funding of €6.5 million in grant and equity.

€18,5 million raised in round A from Insight Partner, Northzone, Wayra, and leading business angels.

Jul 2023

Leading the ASSIST Consortium to enhance heart attack diagnosis in emergency units using Willem, our AI-powered cardiology platform. Funded by €1.5 million from EIT Health Spain.

Sep 2023

Basketball Legend Pau Gasol joins Idoven in a new investment round led by Northzone, with follow-on funding from Insight Partners and major previous investors.

Apr 2024

Leading the FAITHFUL Consortium with support from AstraZeneca to redefine Heart Failure detection in Primary Care by integrating Willem, our AI-powered cardiology platform. Funded by €1.7 million from EIT Health Spain.
