In 2019, Iker Casillas, legendary World Cup-winning Spanish goalkeeper, suffered a life-changing heart attack during training.
Today, in collaboration with IDOVEN, Iker is committed to the #DonateYourHeartbeats campaign to promote the importance of early diagnosis and contribute to the research of heart disease among the most vulnerable groups.
Today, I am more conscious of the importance of early detection and caring for your health, even when you do not have symptoms. I did not have any, and on a day like any other, I suffered a heart attack. In just minutes, my life changed completely.
I would like to encourage you to participate in the #DonateYourHeartbeats movement and become one of the first heartbeat donors in the world. You can contribute to the most advanced scientific research to prevent cardiovascular disease and make a difference to people like you and me in the future.
Remember that it is important to check your heart every year to live a happier, healthier and longer life. Together we can do it.
